VC Harmony Ultra-Thin Grande Complication Chronograph Caliber 3500

While Harmony stands for Concord, the Vacheron Constantin Harmony Ultra-Thin Grande, caliber 3500 intends to spread dissent among the ardent fans of horological timepieces. To reason, you can accuse the charm that it dissipates!
To pay tribute to the 260 years of its impeccable service, VC has unveiled seven timepieces from its flagship collection 'Harmony'. One of the prime allure of SIHH 2015, the VC Harmony pulls your attention with its contemporary cushion-shaped case.
Issued in limited edition, this watch draws its inspiration from the chronograph variation introduced in 1928.
The five calibers bearing the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva join forces with the art of shapes to create a remarkable sculpture on one side while the brilliance of Vacheron Constantin’s Harmony decorates the other.

The Harmony Ultra thin Grande complication chronograph is also t
ermed as the world’s thinnest self-winding split-second chronograph.
The features include time display(quite naturally), power reserve indicator, automatic winding, and a split second (rattrapante) chronograph.
As regard it name called Grand Complication, it has left me a bit disappointed because I expected it to be an assembly of a minimum ten complications.

Seal of Geneva embellishes its temple (12 o' clock of the dial). The finely made chronograph is indeed an assimilation of whooping 459 parts. The parts comprise of several cams, levers & gears that almost overlie each other or remain entwined with one propelling the movement of the other.

The peripheral rotor is another attraction of the watch that moves according to the mechanical movement without obstructing the front view.
Such rotors are not just fascinating but also pleasant to observe. Not ergonomically new, the peripheral rotor left a serious impression on watch fanatics when the technology made its comeback in Carl F. Bucherer debut, A1000 automatic movement. Power reserve of the timekeeper promises 51 hours of seamless working & is indicated by a power reserve indicator on the dial.

The sapphire case back flaunts its subtle movement while an insignia of Geneva bedecks its face.

Makers have claimed that the VC harmony has been under construction since 2008, which underlines the fact that the watch is an epitome of precision & excellence.
The dial bears a traditional yet remarkable appearance.
Detailing is impressive, but Vacheron Constantin isn’t trying to tread new ground with the aesthetics of the dial which are familiar yet noble.
While it does not bother me, I know people get irritated by the fact that the chronograph sub dials “cut off” the 3 and 9 o’clock hour markers.
Note that a pusher in the crown operates the mono-pusher chronograph, while the top pusher is used to activate or reset the split seconds chronograph hand.

The caliber 3500 houses the Marvel in a split second chronograph, which remains one of the few highlights of the sleek timepiece.

A split second chronograph's name is taken along with the top watch complications as tourbillion or minute repeater.
It might not involve as many parts but remains a task cut out for skilled watchmakers even today.
On the wrist, the Vacheron Constantin Harmony Ultra-Thin Grande Complication Chronograph watch looks good even if you aren’t an avid fan of cushion-shaped watches.
The 42mm wide case wears nice and big with its 52mm lug-to-lug length. There are other Harmony collection models available in slightly smaller sizes than the VC Harmony.
Be that as it may, the watch has the traits of a typical crowd puller & can bring those who are not much of a VC fan.
VC Harmony Ultra-Thin Grande Complication Chronograph is restricted to just ten pieces in a perfect platinum case serving a harbinger to the blue alligator strap.
Of course, you get a smart box with an impressive loupe & letter signed by Vacheron Constantin's CEO for the raging amount of money that you invest.
But it would challenge the man of steel in you to shell out $369,200 for the luxury-on-wrist.
Besides, you can be remain assured that you will pride yourself for making a selection as refined as the Calibre 3500, only if you are among the lucky 10.

You see money isn't enough every time!

Hanu's 2nd Birthday: Of Moments & Bliss

So this happened to be my first escape of 2016, a week getaway precisely! The trip to Jalandhar came as a welcome development, thanks to my Lil birdie (Hanu)!
Pic: Solitary tree by NH1 (Delhi-Jalandhar Highway)

Yes, he is my cute nephew who turned 2, exactly 4 days ago. When it's him in the picture, the temptation to see him gets better of me. Every moment spent with him, leaves me soaked in his memories, which take its own time to vaporize.
The kid is delightfulness overloaded, assimilation of the flicker & characters of a lovely individual in making. On 20th Jan, I was convinced by mom to go to Jalandhar, which I didn’t need anyway.
Pic: Dhaba, Sonepat

Well, after trying my luck with Shatabdi, I settled for the Red Bus app & booked myself a ticket in Golden Temple Volvo bus service after availing an initial 150 bucks discount- a privilege meant for the first user of the app.
The bus departed from Chandni Chowk depot- its one of the boarding points at 11:30 pm & kudos to the bus operators for making the ride an overwhelmingly comfortable one.
Soon the bus was cruising on the NH1, the Delhi-Chandigarh highway & the misty windowpanes lighted by the crossing lampposts made for an absolute delight to behold.
It was almost 2:30 when our bus made its first halt by the side of NH1 in Sonepat where I took the much-needed pee, munched on the snacks and sipped a steaming cup of coffee at the adjoining Dhaba.
Pic: The gorgeous engine cake!

Soon as the bus started I was due for another round of sleep & I was woken up by the driver and informing me about the arrival of my destination.
In 5 minutes I was standing at PAP- the junction that leads to the road to Chandigarh and Himachal.
It was 5:10 in the morning & I was standing by the highway side waiting for my brother to pick me up.
Meanwhile, I was fighting to keep up with the freezing weather, 6 deg precisely.
Reason being, Delhi wasn’t so cold & even if it were I wasn’t exposed to such hostile conditions, thanks to my new ‘work from home’ stint. Bhaiya was there in 10 minutes & I kept up my promise of being there on my kid’s side when the clock strikes 6:11 am- his time of birth precisely.
The day was more cold than usual at 6-degree celsius but we were tender enough to enjoy the climate.
Pic: Rhyme- Halloween Night!

Hotel Radisson was chosen to rejoice the occasion and a special engine shaped cake was ordered, much to Hanu's liking.
Meanwhile, the day was well invested procuring return gifts & small requisites from Sadar Bazaar- the place that usually brims with the flock of Punjabi birds & basic household essentials.

The moment finally came & we reached Hotel Radisson by 9:30 pm. The astounding hospitality extended by them made me take a particular note of it. Serving personnel were warm & with their gestures bang on! Time was well spent chatting and eating our way to midnight.
22nd was a laid back day when I chose to give some rest to my intestine & pancreas.
Though this time I got luckier with a seat in Shatabdi alongside Bhaiya-Bhabhi!
Fate had something else in store for me.

The final act:
22nd Jan 2016, 5:45 pm: We chose to be cautious & made it to the platform no 3, an hour in advance reason being the almost missed Shatabdi at New Delhi station when this little portion of my family was traveling to Jalandhar.
After a 10 minutes delay, unlikely when you speak of Shatabdi, the train emerged on the platform with the majestic hoot announcing its advent.
The oncoming train, with itself, brought an uncanny memory, the memory of Bhaiya’s laptop bag, which contained his laptop, a boarding pass of their next day itinerary from Delhi to Bangalore & other essentials.
Bag's nature of content made it an indispensable luggage, something that we couldn't afford to miss.
In a moment, we decided that I would miss the train, pick the laptop bag & take a Volvo back to Delhi.
As they embarked the train, I raced back to Bhabhi’s, collected the bag & reached the bus stop in a while where I had my ticket booked in one of the Volvos of Punbus.
The bus set off by 8:45 pm. It fought its way through the dense fog and reached ISBT by 6:30 am. Meanwhile bro & family reached our Malviya Nagar flat by the stroke of the midnight & I was back with them by 7 am.
That's my Boy!

A brief and rather an eventful tour came to an end which left me with a handful of memories.
Your 2nd birthday would be treasured in our memories for a  very long time sweetheart!

My first impression of Harry Winston Opus 14

Cometh the hour, cometh the opus! In another interesting turn of events, the makers of Harry Winston recently released the successor of one of the most prestigious models in the sphere of Horology.

The Opus 14 that has elegantly carried the legacy of its predecessors has already started making the headline. The flagship model of the iconic Opus that was unveiled almost a month ago & undoubtedly it is an epitome of class & impeccable design.
Opus does seem to be a fresh beginning!
Post 14 successful iterations, the scion of imperial Harry Winston Opus family appears to be getting bigger and better.

The three working disks, inspired by mid-century American theme, split neatly with each other & seizes your attention.
The dynamic disks can be personalized as per your needs. The lustrous frame wears a look of the molten silver cast into a muscular frame with the all essential oodles of charm. The premier complication projects it's working like a Jukebox, transporting you right back to your salad days.
Formidability is lent by the three disks encrusted in an 18k white gold frame & stretches over 50 mm in width.
They are assigned to the unique display of local time, GMT, the date & lastly a star at 2 O' clock, bearing the signature of Mr. Harry Winston, a reference to the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The design aesthetics of the Harry Winston flagship timekeeper draws its inference from iconic record changer machine of the 1920s.

The Opus 14 boasts of a whopping 1,066-part movement, which is hand-wound and comes with a silicon balance spring. At the back, there are 31 bridges- a replacement of standard plate with a series of plates or bars (an attraction for the lovers of intricacies), and two mainspring barrels – one for the timekeeping and the other for the automation functions.
Both the GMT and the date indications can be set through corrector pushers at the 12 o'clock position of the case that is highlighted by the eminent engravings made on the pushers while the time can be adjusted by using the crown at 2.
Aesthetically speaking, this watch has a lesser element of unconventionality & more of a style automation mechanism that places it in a different league altogether.

On paper, the opus 14 was a three-and-a-half year project, but the detailed contours render it as an architect's imagination.

Blancpain's testing facility has tested the agility of Opus 14 by subjecting it to the optimum level of endurance testing procedure. One of the front runners of Swatch group, Harry Winston, appears to have escalated its brand value after being acquired by the world eminent Swatch group & the technology of independent watchmaking has accomplished the unthinkable.

Commemoration of new lieutenant in the legion of Spartans, Harry Winston Opus is just the timepiece you were planning to buy. Swatch must be thanking their stars for having Harry Winston 14 in their rank.

You could be just more than just the Breasts, Aalia! Why not show them off as well!

My reply to the blog from MensXP
http://goo.gl/U4mFd4

It happens to be the first post that I saw on my wall soon after I logged on to Facebook this morning! And the punchline of the write-up stirred me to such an extent that I couldn't suppress my urge to retaliate.
See, no matter how good you might be in showing off your singularity towards feminism, at the end of the day we all should respect the class & elegance that women are ushered with & women, on the contrary, must recognize that respect.
To me, there is no point arguing over skin show or nudity. But just because I have something pretty doesn't mean I keep flashing it around. Attraction being the law of nature calls for so much of cuss when not handled proficiently.
So it's not just about somebody ogling you, rather you purposefully calling for it because certain things look good when they are enrobed.
As far as women are concerned, they must know where to draw the line & devise a rational approach rather than start chiding about all the bad happening around.
Our creator has bestowed every one of us with emotions; the only remarkable difference is the virtuousness & sensibility to regulate our cravings.
Some of us withstand it while others get carried away! Now things boil up to the situations that you build. Go ahead & show off your boobs in front of a bunch of gentlemen, they would rather look at them from a distance smile wryly & continue doing what they are doing.
Flash them in front a group of seeking youth, they would pass lewd comments at you, smirk & still let you go.
God forbid, if you choose to show them off to some insane freaks, then may the Almighty have mercy on you! The million dollar question here is, how to spot these unique people in a crowd? I suggest don't!
People wear masks too. I don't want to sound judgmental here, but yeah the least you could do is to act sensibly. And if you are purposefully architecting the plot then you have the right to remain silent!
Dear Aalia Ebrahim, you could be more than just the breasts, then why just portray yourself as a self-seeking boob. You see life is all about Projection & Perception. Period!
