Porn Ban: A cheap gimmick by the Govt.

I got introduced to porn in 2009 when I was in 2nd year of my engineering college. A fact that may not go down well with many of you but the reality remains that, back then I found porn way too direct & coarse. I was more inclined towards gratifying movie scenes, which wouldn’t contain complete nudity. But once I got along watching porn, it didn’t make me a rapist either. In fact, moments of elation were happily cherished.
The reason why I am talking about Porn today is because of the government’s recent ban on hundreds of porn sites across the country, which has left me bemused & I feel that a huge unjust has been done to millions of porn viewers of the country.
As far as watching porn is concerned, I categorize the youth of India into 2 major categories, i.e. the novice & the pro. Talking about the novices, they are the ones who start watching porn out of sheer curiosity. Kids, who are unscathed from the stark realities of the disparaged industry & want to, dug deep. Call it excitement or the welcome arrival of puberty; that I leave for you to resolve. The story is ditto same in the case of a female except for the biological term given to the newly developed physical complication named menstruation. Then we have the college goers, a group which further gets bifurcated into 3 major clans; one, which we fondly call the pro-feminist (with girlfriends) of course, the anti-feminist (without girlfriend & even don’t want one) & the last one is nympho (without girlfriend but desperately want one). Now, there are ideological differences between them but the one that thing remains common among them apart from their manhood is PORN! See, the situations do get manipulated because of the various circumstances, but the need remains constant. And the desperately blinking wi-fi routers of students’ hostel underline the fact that somewhere near, a fresh collection of HD porn is being downloaded!!
Talking about the niche-based fans, the full timers use porn to fill the void created by their partner’s absence. Those without the presence of a prominent person in their life are usually driven by strong career objective & if that’s not the case then it’s a ‘Gay Alarm’ for the roommate. The person might be dealing with serious hormone malfunction & by watching porn, they tend to ease off their mind with excessive study baggage. The last category of nymphos comprises of the poor souls who are usually bereft of a partner, & always long for one. They happily fantasize the presence of an opposite sex & frig off in the moments of loneliness. So, to them watching porn is like having the luxury of a surreal partner.
All said & done people from different age groups (mostly pro) has a different application of porn in their lives. A newly married couple uses it as a tool to break the ice (for those who marriage is arranged) & further emulate every step of the clip religiously. Even the likes of middle-aged people suffering from erectile dysfunction watch it propel themselves. After all, it can be a better ally than Viagra that might cause a side effect. In porn, we have a readymade stimulator, which antes up the testosterone level when the need arises.

The banning of porn was never a solution & will never be one because it towers way above the materialistic society, the class, the race, and the religion. It comes before the sect, the creed, & any age group; it knows no boundary & supports no bigotry. Yes, Porn stands above all!
